The Organization of American States (OAS) is the world’s oldest regional organization dating back to the First International Conference of American States, which was held in Washington, D.C. from October 1889 to April 1890. Contains information about the Organization of American States, what they stand for, and what they do.

The CIA World Fact Book provides comprehensive information about countries of the world. Click on the “World Fact Book” tab.

The U. S. Department of State-Bureau of Western Hemisphere contains information about Western Hemisphere U. S. Policy, information about the various countries of the Americas, travel and other pertinent information. “Countries and Regions Tab.” Contains various information about the countries of the world. Under the tab drop down click on “Western Hemisphere etc.”
